cruzecontrol Posted October 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2008 I did a search and came up with nothing. Has anyone taken RCCL's Magical Island Beach Dayw/Lobster Lunch shore excursion? We are interested in it and would like to hear some feedback. Thanks

fateknows Posted February 14, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2009 It sounds like fun. Has anyone been to Westend Village or Lost Paradise Inn? from cruise brochure: Visit the resort of Lost Paradise Inn at Westend Village. Enjoy a welcome Mimosa and hors d'oeuvres. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. Last bus to leave the resort for the vessel will be at 4:00 p.m.
sue7045 Posted November 2, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2010 We just returned from this tour. It was listed as Magical island Beach w/ lobster lunch at the Lost Paradise Inn. Well it should have stayed lost! For $72.00 pp it was a rip off. First to start...there was no beach, just cement stairs tht lead to a sandy platform where you then entered the water. You could only swim out so far before you came upon all sea grass. I was also told that you could swim out to the blue channel to snorkel. Wrong again...you had the boat lane and could not swim through it. So that meant you had pay an additional $20 pp to go out on a boat to get to the reef. Lobster lunch as interesting. You did get lobster for lunch along with shrimp, rice and a salad. The food was just OK. But I had to battle the flys while I was eating. And if it wasn't disapponting enough.....after I showered I notice that I had gotten bitten by something. It looked like I had the chicken pox! I would not recommend this to anyone!!!!:(
watchdiva Posted November 2, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Sue: Sounds as though no-see-ums got you! You don't realize that you're being bitten until the little marks begin to appear (and by then it's too late). A good coating of bug spray/lotion (Off Deep Woods, Cactus Juice, Nature's Veil, etc) anytime you're on/near the beach is a smart move. Hopefully you did appreciate the beauty of Roatan though!
