Question about parking in Tampa

We have sailed out of Tampa before, but I cannot remember what the clearance in driving into the garage. We were thinking of putting a luggage carrier on top of our van. But, what if it doesn't go through the entrance (where you pay) into the garage!:eek: Please help.

Don't know the clearance height for the garage or what cruise line you are using but at the RCL terminal they offer Valet Parking where your vehicle is parked in a fenced in parking lot right next to the ship and terminal. We've used it in the past due to the convienence it offers and the cost is $3.00 a day more than the parking garage.

Or you can park at the Amtrak station 5 minutes away for free. Its locked and gated at night. I park there all the time! Then take a taxi to the pier. While there get a train schedule and try it some time. So much easier then flying.
