Free upgrade question

Hi! First time cruiser on the Carnival Destiny departing on Nov 22!! Silly question about upgrades- will Carnival call me or do I need to contact them to see if we get an upgrade? If we moved up a level is that considered an upgrade? Is it possible to get an upgrade when we check in? I just noticed that Carnival just called, but didn't leave a message, usually they do especially if they are trying to sell me another cruise. Just curious- thanks!!!!:)

I assume Carnival lets you check your cabin number on line. I don't know if they will call you. If all else fails, you will find out when you check in.
