Booking Tours with a group

There are several of us interested in the Stingray City & Snorkel tour, and I wondered if we all booked about the same time if we would be more likely to get that one together? I've been there and done that, but I can't remember if there is just one tour while we are there or not.

When we were in Grand Cayman with a group, I booked a shore excursion independently with Nativeway Sports. There were 31 of us and we had our own private excursion. If you don't have as many people, they will put you together with other people, however, they will keep you all together. You should check it out, Sharon was a breeze to work with.

I saw some good reviews of Nativeway Sports. Do they not cram as many people on as the ship tours do?

Just got back from Rhapsody cruise and we booked independently with Soto Tours, only 20 on the boat and treated very professionally. The best part is the rate $24 per person. We had 3 stops, Coral Garden, Snorkel stop then Stingray City, excelent guides. The biggest problem was once we got to Stingray City there were 50+boats with 100's of people. They had to hunt for the stingrays to show us not like 3 years ago with lots of stingrays and very few people. Have a great time. I have also heard good things on Nativway.

We booked Nativeway for our upcoming cruise. Just call and make the reservation for everyone. If there's more than 4 people, a credit card deposit has to be made though. At least they'll be able to tell youif they have room for you all. Another way to do it is for each couple to call one after the other and that way, as long as there's no party of 4 or more, you pay on the boat with no deposit.

I typed out a long post earlier today and got knocked off..

I have booked Nativeway for my group of 19- We have our own private charter for three hours. Doing the 3 comman stops for snorkeling. It is coming out to 32.10 pp and we did not have to put down a deposit. Our family thought this was a steal to have it to ourselves.. We did have to give a cc # to hold our reservation but have been assured that it will not be charged so we can all pay cash when we arrive. SOTO's was asking for a 50% deposit as well as they were higher in price for the same tour.

We did Captain Marvin's. It was less than $20 a person for 3 hours, although we ended up at closer to 4 hours. Coral Garden, Reef, and Stingray City. At the reef we saw an eel and a shark. We all loved it, and it was fun having just our group of 18 on the boat, especially when we saw the "sardines" packed on the bigger boats at Stingray City!
