Christmas on Majesty

Has anyone ever done this cruise? What's it like to be onboard on Christmas Eve/Day?

Wife & I were on the Majesty last Christmas. The ship was decorated with trees that were theemed from the various countries of the crew. There was a very large village display in the centrum with falling "snow" every evening. On Christmas day there was caroling with crew & guests.

 

Christmas morning, Santa made his way down the stack and into the Viking Crown, where he and his elves, plus the Cruise Director lead a parade around the pool deck, down through the centrum, and into the theater, where he had a gift for each child under 18.

 

We spent Christmas day at sea, and followed it up with CocoCay the day after...what more could you ask for!

Thanks so much for your comments/review of Christmas on the Majesty! We (me, my wife and our 2 daughters aged 10 & 15) are doing that cruise this December, so I am elated to hear such nice feedback about it. I was a little worried about the temperature in late December; I thought it might not get warm enough. I know it varies, but if we have anything like the weather you had last December I will be thrilled! It sounds great; we can't wait. Thanks.

PRC, thanks for the info. I can't imagine we won't have a wonderful, festive time. It will be DH, myself, 19yo son and my mother on the trip, so we will be quite a mixed group. I'm sure we'll all find exciting things to do.

Does anyone know what the dinner is like on Christmas? Do people tend to dress up a little more on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (or both)? Any other tidbits of information?
