Triumph review

Hi, We just returned from our Triumph cruise yesterday. What a great cruise. this was our first carnival cruise. We have cruised Princess, RCI and Celebrity. We arrived at the pier about 1145 and we were on the ship by 1230. Rooms were ready at 130.We had a balcony on Empress deck. The room seemed a little smaller than other lines but there was plenty of room to store our things.

Food- The food was very good especially the waem melting chocolate cake. We never ate in the buffet so I don't know how that was. The grill and deli were good.

Entertainment- We thought the entertainment was excellent. There were 2 comedians and a hypnotist. All were very good. The production shows were the best we have seen at sea. I was disappointed with the piano bar. I was really looking forward to this. I just didn't care for Angela's voice.

St Thomas- We spent the day at Megans beach. It was a great day.

St Marten- Again we went to the beach. We went to Orient beach. It was great but not the best for kids due to the surf and undertow.

San Juan- We didn't arrive until 500. We hopped on one of those tour vans at the port. Ten dollars for 1.5 hrs. It was good but would have been better in the day time. By the time the tour was over many of the stores in old San Jaun were closed.

The ship- We thought the ship was pretty. The pools are small but good enough to cool off. We had no trouble finding deck chairs whenever we arrived at the pools. We did not watch the big screen at all. People seemed happy they were showing the world series.

The ship didn't clear customs until 8 even though we docked about 6. We had #7 and were called about 845.

We had a great time on this cruise and wanted to book on board but there was no cruise specialist on board. I thought all lines had this.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I had the same opinion of Angela as well. For some reason it was hard to understand the words when she sang (even though she has a very nice voice).

:)

Glad you enjoyed your trip!
