What does "on the bump" mean?

when referring to cabins? Is this cabin preferred?

The "hump" on Voyager class ships refers to the group of cabins near the stern that projects out from the ships hull in a gentle arc, looks like a hump. The prefered cabins are actually the corner cabins on the stern.

Never stayed on the hump. Are the cabins any better or have a better view? I have seen they are also desired.

Actually, we prefer the middle of the hump on deck 9. Great fore and aft view from the balcony and convenient to the elevators. And no, you will not notice any noise from the elevators. We will be staying in 9318- AOS, junior suite, for the second time in September.
