WELSH WIZARDS Posted November 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2008 I was booked to fly home from a TA cruise in two weeks time. Out of the blue I was diagnosed with womb cancer, and within 5 weeks, I had an operation, found out I caught it early, and will only have to have check ups for the next two years. Brilliant. !! My point in posting this is we were booked non refundable flights on five different Airlines. By far the largest amount, £ 1700 was for return flights [ also TA in April ] was with Openskies. When they were informed about my predicament, they not only refunded my fare, but also the £200 cancellation fee. !! None of the other airlines did this, [ not unexpected], but by far the worst, and also the smallest amount, were BMI , who not only gave us nothing, but charged us £20 for two letters to say we had indeed cancelled. !! Needless to say, I will be using Openskies again, thanks to their very good customer relations in this instance.
