Getting off the Ship in San Juan

We're leaving for a Southern Caribbean cruise on Feb 1st with Princess. We're leaving out of San Juan but the ship doesn't leave until late in the evening. Will we be allowed to check in, unpack, leave the ship and tour around San Juan and then board the ship again? Thanks for your help.:o

Yes, you can check in, drop off your bags, and get back off the ship to go tour Old San Juan. Just remember that Princess is using the Pan Am Pier which is across the harbor from Old San Juan so you will need a taxi ride back and forth.
