Best Ship for Casino?

Hey I'v only taken one cruise about a year and a half ago and it was on the Sensation and I had a blast. The casino was decent but it was kind of small and a lot of the times some of the table games weren't being played or they were training their dealers. I still won like 2k on a slot machine though so its all good! lol

So I was wondering are all Carnival's caisnos like that on all the ships or do the newer ships have bigger and better casinos?

I live in georgia and graudating college in May...looking to do a graduation cruise or something but it must have a good casino

if carnival doesn't have ships with good casinos do you know of any cruise lines that do? thanks

Howdy,

If you want a ship with a big Casino then you should go on the Triumph class ship, or the Glory Class, or the Conquest Class. If you go on a Spirit Class ship the Casino will be a little smaller since those are smaller ships. I have always liked the open, airy, and good lighting of the Triumph.

Have a lot of fun regardless of which ship you go on. And good luck.

I've only been on the Conquest but I am a BIG gambler so I was in the casino every day. Played the whole week on $200. Didn't "win" but made enough to play every day. The casino is big and has all the 'standard' games. My only complaint is there was not a 'live' poker table. They have the 'poker pro' and I lost $60 in about 5 minutes. Could've just been because I had never played that 'format'. I've read on some of these threads that folks have cleaned up at that poker table. We did really well on Let It Ride w/Three Card Bonus.

Leaving on the Ecstasy Thursday. Hoping they have the Let it Ride w/three card bonus. Anyone know?

.........avoid playing any slot machine.....have found on 5 cruises that the only real chance of staying close to even is on the tables... if you know how to play.

Remember, when it comes to casino gambling......there are ZERO regulations on the open seas !!!! They report to NOBODY, and make their own rules......what else would you expect ?

The larger the ship the larger the Casino. I sail on mostly Conquest class ships and this year I've won a total of $5500 on the Conquest, Valor and Glory. All of those winnings were on slots, and I had to fill out an IRS 1099G before I could get either of my winnings that were $2000 or more. When I hit the $1000 spin on the $1 wheel of fortune I just go to cash it out.

I just downloaded the following from the Ocean Players Club website. So I do think they maintain some fair gaming practices, but I can tell you that while I've never been to Nevada, I've won more money aboard Carnival ships in this decade than I have in all my trips (3 or 4 a year) to Tunica, KC, Shreveport, any Indian casino in Oklahoma...............

Cruise ship casinos operate in international waters and are not subject to any particular gaming jurisdiction. However we are a member of the CLIA and adhere to their policy for Gaming Guidelines.

I take a certain amount of money to play with and plan on losing it all, and if I can paydown my S&S by several hundred dollars each cruise, or buy something nice on shore cause at the end of the day I have more money than I started with then I consider that a win
