Nachi, Mr. Santos or Chankanaab???

We were at Mr. Sancho's on Tuesday, 11/25 and we had a great day. We didn't do the all inclusive. We hopped in a taxi which was $4 per person. The part of Mr. Sancho's that absolutely made my whole vacation is that when you first arrive - they have a man that will let you (or your kids) take pictures with a Python, a Monkey and a Tarantula. I have pictures of my 5 & 7 year old boys with a Python around their neck, a monkey on their heads and my 7 year old even put this huge hairy tarantula on his head. I'm pretty sure it was $5 each person for all the pictures you could take - well worth it - I would have spend $20 a person for all the pictures I got - I'm so excited about them that I'm using these pictures in my X-mas card - just an amazing photo opportunity. After all the picture fun - we were escorted to tables with umbrellas on the beach. Our waiter was Daniel and he took good care of us all day. My only suggestion would be to have tables over by the pool - it is closer to the bathroom over there. The ocean had a small amount of seaweed and tons of fish swimming right around your legs - kind of freaked me out, but the kids were trying to catch them! The pool was small, but clean and the kids liked it. The bathrooms were very clean. There are showers, but no privacy to really take a good shower. The food and drinks were very good. I recommend the guacamole and chips, fajitas and my sister-in-law loved the octopus!! Very big portions too.

My husband and brother wanted to dive again, but we didn't have anything booked. There is a "dive operator" on site, but he said it was too windy. My hubby then went and talked to a man up at the front entrance who arranged for a dive at another resort - they just had to jump in a cab and the boat was waiting for them - I think they went to Playancar - he said the dive wasn't as well run as the dive in Grand Cayman, but the dive itself was "the best dive of his life"! He was pretty pumped.

It was not at all crowded the day we were there - I saw 3 other ships in port. We really had a nice day, but I would do something different next time just because I like to try different things. But if you are a big fan of taking awesome pictures - definitely go to Mr. Sancho's and say hello to my new hairy friends!

My DH and I went to Nachi Cocom last FRI. We had a GREAT Time. As many of you have read, they only accept 100 people per day. There were only about 40 people there the day we went. People were nicely spread out.

WE had very attentive service by Joseph. You MUST try to Mamasita. It was very yummy. Their guacamole was also very good. We both ordered shrimp dishes and loved it.

Don't forget that Cozumel is one hour before ship time and Nachi opens at 9 AM.

My DH had a massage which we did not prebook. They were a bit slow so we got it for $5 less.

If you want a relaxing beach break in Cozumel I would HIGHLY recommend Nachi Cocom. When I go back to Cozumel, I will definitely go to Nachi again.

Are the beach chairs/loungers/umbrellas free if we do not do all-inclusive?

Do the have free water toys like trampoline or anything?

what is average price of fish tacos or margaritas/beer?

Who is Carrie to book through?

Thanks so much, we'll be there Christmas Day!!

Your best bet is to read the sancho's all inclusive thread. Sorry to sound rude but as an "Island expert" I cannot say more than that.

Hello there - at Mr. Sancho's we didn't do the all-inclusive. We were a group of 9 that got 3 tables put together on the beach with 3 umbrellas - we didn't have to pay for that. We never used the lounge chairs, but we probably could have as there seemed to be plenty around. There we no trampolines or anthing like that. They had wave runners available for rent and you could do a snorkeling tour. We purchased snorkels for the kids at one of the shops and the kids were snorkeling off the shore - there were tons of fish.

I'm pretty sure the food and drinks were reasonably priced. Our 2 husbands went off scuba diving after we had some munchies, so there were 3 adults and 4 kids eating and drinking the meals - we had 2 orders of chips, salsa, & guacamole, an order of chicken fajitas, ribs with fries, octopus with beans and rice, a burger with fries, and one other dinner which I can't think of, at least 4 margaritas, 4-5 beers, 4 or 5 sodas and 2 big bottles of water. Our bill came to $183 which was much cheaper than paying for the all-inclusive.

Hope this helps - have fun!

Barbara

There wasn't a water trampoline & not sure if they had kayaks or anything that could be used for free.

I think as long as you are eating/drinking, you will get a table/chairs/lounge chair. I want to say the shrimp tacos were around $10.

Sorry, since we did the all-inclusive, we didn't pay much attention to the prices.

Carrie's web address is: http://www.*****/

You also could check out the website for Mr. Sanchos & email them directly with specific questions. They are very nice people.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

"We were warmly greeted and were escorted to the bar area. Unfortunately, we misplaced our confirmation sheet from Carrie. This caused a little uneasiness at first. However, we were able to clear things up and in no time at all we were sitting on the beach at a covered table with drinks in hand. We also were assigned some lounge chairs for use."

Do you have to make reservations for Mr. Sanchos? We have some members of our party who would not eat or drink enough to do the all inclusive choice. do you have to do the "all inclusive"?
