Toonjie I have a Charlie's Car rental @ Marriott Question....

Hey Toonjie, We are staying at the Marriott Hotel and Stellaris Casino 3 days pre-cruise and we are renting a Suv from Charlie's. I know you have stayed there several times and rented from Charlies. Do you pick Condado East (Front of Marriott)? Is that our hotel or is it the Marriott Courtyard ? How much time should I allow after landing and luggage pickup before I call for Charlie's to pick us up in the shuttle? Thanks for your help. Debbie

 

P.S. How is your baby son doing? Growing like a weed I'm sure.:)

If you are at the Stellaris that is different from the Courtyard Marriott, which is in Isla Verde. The Stellaris actually has a booth right out front where you could drop it off, but the shuttle to the pier is at the Condado location, so you have to select that as the drop off. It is just down Ashford, just before you get to the Condado Plaza. If you are coming in by plane, then the easiest thing to do is pick it up at their airport location, which they will shuttle you to, it's almost directly across from the ESJ and Intercontinental, just a 5 minute drive from the airport. (Call them when you get to baggage claim.) When you debark, I would call them as soon as you are walking off the ship, ie., before you even get your bags. It took about 10 minutes from when I called them to when they arrived, but it can take as long as 20, so you want to give them a head start.

 

Josiah is huge! He is now 9 weeks and 15 pounds and he is saying "hi" and "good" already! He has a great disposition and is just adorable, well, I'm prejudiced:

Thanks for the info. I was mistaken, I thought I could ride the shuttle from the airport to Marriott Stellaris, pick up and drop off my car at that location and then ride a shuttle to the ship. I tried to change my reservation to pick up at airport and drop off at Condado but it said could not book a one way between these two locations. Do I need to call them and request these locations?

You may have to call them if the web page won't let you do it. Just ask them for pick up at the airport and drop off at Condado. (One tip: Put their phone number on your cell phone address book, it makes for easy one hand dialing while you're going through the airport or cruise terminal.)

I emailed Charlies and they said that they provide free transportation to the cruise terminal from the Marriott Stellaris location. I also had the same message of not allowing one way rentals from the airport.

I will email them today and see if they will fix my reservation. If not I will just give them a call. I have 2 months until my cruise so I'm in no big hurry. My car is reserved, just drop off location is wrong. Debbie
