anyone stay in SOLSTICE AFT with balcony?

I'm booked on Solstice in January on the Penthouse deck category C1 in an aft room (1670) and I've been reading a lot of negatives about the verandas in these rooms - that there is no shade,very small, etc.

Did anyone stay in one of these rooms and how did you enjoy it? I've been on many cruises and I wanted to try something new for a change - and I thought it would be just beautiful! I'm hoping that I CAN sit on the veranda even though there is no real shade. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this!

That's the exact cabin we will be in for the November 23 inagurual cruise. I'll be sure to post back. I'm super-spoiled by the extra large balconies aft on the M class ships, and I know that these are not any larger than the side of the ship. But, we enjoy the aft view, and we get a good workout going back and forth from the Persian Gardens! HA!

I'm in a Sky Aft Suite on 12/14/2008. Here some pictures I have found hope they help.

I think they are going to be great. I love being on the aft of the ship.Sunny

Can't access your hyperlinks to the cabins....am I missing something in the URL? I'm booked in an aft on deck 8 and would love to see the balcony as we're hearing it's too small to enjoy.
