tgg Posted November 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2008 We're spending 4 days and 3 night in Beijing in March after our cruise. Can someone recommend a reliable tour operator? There are so many on the internet and so few reviews. Did you have the tour operator arrange to pick you up in Tianjin after a cruise? How did that work out? Thanks for your help. Chemmy Posted November 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2008 In October 2007 we followed the recommendation of a Cruise Critic individual and had a wonderful two days of private touring in Beijing using Angela Zhu (Xiao Fang Zhu, e-mail address: needyachang@hotmail.com). Our ship docked at the Xingang International Passenger Terminal, one hour drive from the city of Tianjin. Tiajin is located 80 miles south of Beijing so expect several hours from the ship to Beijing. Angela hired a competent driver (very important) and tailor-made our itinerary to the places we wanted to see. Her English was excellent and she provided a wealth of information about each site. We would love to return to Beijing for more time and would certainly hire her again. If you have questions contact me at LG9929-chemmyatyahoodotcom.
