nilsbyy Posted November 24, 2008 Author #26 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Breakfast and lunch are casual attire. We have worn shorts and t-shirts. What about dinner on casual nights? Exactly how casual is casual?
Plant Posted November 25, 2008 #27 Share Posted November 25, 2008 What about dinner on casual nights? Exactly how casual is casual? On most lines, casual for dinner means slacks and a golf type knit shirt or a short sleeved cotton shirt. Wearing shorts or jeans and T-shirts is discouraged. renegade87 Posted November 25, 2008 #28 Share Posted November 25, 2008 Thanks for the wonderful insight! What voltage/wattage are the outlets? Do I need an adapter for the plugs? Where do I buy bio-degradable suntan lotion? I look forward to everyone's help! :D

speedy10 Posted November 28, 2008 #31 Share Posted November 28, 2008 Be sure to take various sizes of Zip-Lock plastic bags. I don't know about other lines, but you can't find a plastic bag on a Princess ship. I wish I'd had a couple to make ice packs out of when I fell down some stairs and sprained BOTH my ankles!!!
speedy10 Posted November 28, 2008 #32 Share Posted November 28, 2008 And make sure to bring your own camera, even if it's the disposable type. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THE ONES ON THE SHIP! They sound like a fairly okay deal price-wise, but take TERRIBLE photos!!!
tbmrt Posted December 4, 2008 #33 Share Posted December 4, 2008 I copied the deck plans before I left and found myself referring to these often when I wanted to go somewhere on the ship, especially the first day or so.
rapvm16932 Posted December 6, 2008 #34 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Wow, sounds like the common thread is 'too much clothing' and 'too many shoes'! For those of you who mentioned hand-washing things: how did you hang them to dry afterwards? Is it possible to rig a short clothesline? Do I need to pack rope or clothespins? :)Most ships have a pull out clothesline in the shower. Also, I heard they supply you with beach towels --- does this mean the same towel all week, or do they change them out like they would your bath towels at a hotel? :)Most ships will exchange your towel each time you use it.
