Is their a smoking side?

The right side of the ship on outside decks is smoking. Left side is non-smoking. This only applies to outer decks. You can smoke in any cabin, except the spa cabins, I think, and you can smoke in the bars and casino. But not the big show lounge or dining rooms, of course

We've been crusing on Carnival for numerous years and smoking is NOT allowed in any of the cabins on Carnival Ships.:)

Smoking is allowed in all cabins on Carnival.....Except in the Splendor spa cabins........

My cabin steward brought me two ashtrays just a few weeks ago......

To the "OP"...Smoking is allowed on outer decks (but not the aft pool deck) on the starboard side. Also the casino, piano bar, disco, cigar bar and band bar....

Going on the triumph jan 4th .I keep reading on the smoking side whats that? Is smoking only outside on the triumph or in some bars also?

Smoking is allowed as mentioned outside on the Starboard side which is the right side of the ship.. check your capers for the bars that you are allowed to smoke in.. and YES to smoking in cabins.. I don't know what Carnival Ships the above poster has been sailing on.. I have been sailing on Carnival since 2006 ..and I have been able to smoke in all my cabins.. The newer Spa cabins that are on some ships are non-smoking.

I think Carnival experamented at one point with a smoke-free ship. Can't remember which one, but I'm thinking the Pride?????

Now it's on the Starboard side of the ship and not on the Port or vice versa.

It was the Paradise.........;) Didn't work.....

Ahhh, Thank you!!! I knew I wasn't crazy. ;)

Maybe that is what is confusing everyone.

I know they smoke in the cabins because I have had to have them ionized or whatever it is that they do to get alll the smell out.

You are incorrect......smoking is permitted in the cabins and on balconies (except for certain spa cabins). It is also permitted on one side of the ship on the outdoor decks, in the casino, in the designated smoking areas in the bars and lounges. No smoking in any eating venue or in the main show lounge.

Hi guys, I was wondering, do any non-smokers remember if the cabins smelled like smoke? I'm asking because my travel partner is allergic to cigarette smoke, so I'm hoping it's not too noticable...

Do those sprays to get rid of cigarette smoke smell work well?

I am a non-smoker, and I only remeber one time when the room was noticable.

I just called housekeeping and they did that Ozone thing for an hour while we were at dinner.

When we got back to the room, you would never have known anyone had ever smoked in there.

The ships have great ventelation. I have never been bothered by smoke on the ships.

I could be wrong, but I thought the bars on the non-smoking side of the ship were non-smoking also, and the bars on the smoking side were smoking, but I could be wrong.

Either way, it really isn't bad. She'll be fine.

If you go to the auto parts store there is a product called "Ozium". it works. It is what they use in cars to take the smoke smell away. I use it at home.

Only on deck is the starboard side rule. On the Destiny I just went on the piano bars is on the starboard side and it is smoking. While the karaoke bar is on the port side and it is nonsmoking.....
