ChrisKlatt Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Does anyone have a positive review of the ship? Daughter and I are thinking about a Mexico cruise later this spring, but haven't been really impressed with what people are say.
dougp26364 Posted April 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2004 It was the first ship we sailed on and I wouldn't hesitate to sail her again. She's one of the smaller ships with RCI but we found her to be plenty large enough for our needs. Vicking Crown lounge has windows going all the way around so you can take whatever view you want. I found it to be a great place to relax and watch the world slip by. The Windjammer cafe is upfront and offers great views as you're sailing or coming into port. We liked getting there early for breakfast and getting a table by the window. The floor to ceiling windows in the dining room provided unparalled views while sailing through Alaska. Service was great, food was fine, cabins were of decent size and very well maintained. All the public areas were in great shape. We had no problems with this ship and are looking at sailing her again if she's still doing the Panama Canal cruise next year. tommoore1 Posted April 19, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2004 We "lived" on her for 14 days on the Panama Canal passing, and of all the RCCL ships we've cruised on, the Legend is our favorite (so far!). If you decide to cruise on her, be sure and stop by and say hello to Runi, the loyal ambassador, she's the GREATEST!. Tell her that Tom & Bonnie say hi... --Tom 'Till we're back on the high seas
