Princess Transfer - Port Everglades to MIA

We transfered from FLL to MIA on the 19th of November. We met at the Wheel House Bar at 8:15, we were in purple groups three and off the ship at about 9:00. It was kind of a cattle call because you had to get your lugguge and take it out to the curb. They had two busses waitng for the first groups off and the driver had to load all the lugguge by himself. We got on bus and were at the airport by 10:45. It was hurry up and wait, our flight did not leave to 3:30. There are not to many places to eat at the MIA airport.

Used Princess Tranfer in Oct. from MIA to the Crown and back to MIA after the cruise. We had to look for the Princess rep. at the airport to catch the bus after we got the luggage. We then had to pull the luggage across the parking lot to get to the bus, it would have been better to have the bus come to us not us to the bus and I am not sure why it was done that way. We where at the cruise port around 11:30. We got off the ship around 9:00-9:30 got the luggage then to the bus, the driver loaded the luggage. We sat on the bus till every sit was filled, which took an hour, we got to MIA around 11:00. It is not a long ride at all about 25-30 mins. The airport doesn't have to many places to eat or shop.

Interesting! We have a transfer from ship to FLL on our departure date. We have our flights booked with Princess and they have us leaving FLL at 11:30 a.m. I wonder how close we will be to departure time from the sounds of this.

Thanks for the replies. Our flight isn't until 3:10. Sounds like we'll have at 3-4 hours to kill at MIA.

While a cab would perhaps be more convenient, the Princess transfer is $25 per person. With just two of us, it's cheaper than a cab.

You can pay for ground transportation with Princess separately if you want to, but why would you? If you have at least two people, a cab is cheaper. It certainly is more convenient!

Are cabs easily available when we get off the flight?

There are private shuttles that will do this for less with more personal service. We use one in Ft Lauderdale instead of waiting for the buses. The one we use is called Sun and Moon and I think they service the Miami area too. We have had very good service with them at very low rates.

We've transferred by ship to MIA and were usually off around 830am, and at MIA by 10am. It cost abut $25/transfer. Taxi we had taken from MIA to FLL was about $90. Have taken the ship transfer to MIA without difficulty several years in a row in January.
