Tortola & st. Maarten taxi prices

SORRY, but here is another good old question about taxi prices.

 

I am curious about Tortola and St. Maarten taxi pp. one/both way to the beach. I have been to Tortola before, I believe, I have paid $5 pp way back in 2004 for taxi both ways to the beach.. I am sure, the time had gone, and there is no such prices, as $5.00 any longer...

 

Still, curious, what is the RECENT round trip for two to the beach would look like in numbers $?

Things have gone up a bit I'm afraid. This past October the wife & I paid $20 ($10 ea) for a cab run from town to Orient Beach. Same coming back. On the plus side you won't have to worry about finding a cab while at Orient- there are plenty loitering around.
