Life's a Beach!! Posted November 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2008 :confused:Hey there!! We will be arriving into Miami Saturday around 8:00 p.m. We would like to stock up on wine and other Saturday night or Sunday morning before heading to port. Does anyone know the curfew for purchasing wine and the like? What about on Sundays?
cpprinttom Posted November 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2008 Miami-Dade County liquor stores may operate 24 hours a day. Supermarkets and other licensed business establishments may sell beer, low-alcohol liquers, and wine. Liquor must be sold in dedicated liquor stores which may be in a separate part of a grocery or a drug store. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_laws_of_the_United_States_by_state

Does anyone know the curfew for purchasing wine and the like? What about on Sundays? HI :) I am from Connecticut too. cpprinttom is absolutely right. You will have no problem buying liqour whatever the time of day. And between liqour stores, and grocery stores, you won't have to look far. Its not like home where the Puritans lock up the "Demon Rum" at 9pm :)

Does anyone know the curfew for purchasing wine and the like? What about on Sundays? By the time you arrive into Miami, get your luggage and head out, your choices of where to get your supplies might become fewer. Are you cabbing it to a hotel? Where are you staying? Knowing that would help direct you. Some stores do not sell all kinds of beverages. Some just wine and beer. To get a wide assortment you'll need a true liquor store. Does anyone know the curfew for purchasing wine and the like? What about on Sundays? I had no problem finding wine and liquor in Downtown Miami. Both on a saturday evening or sunday morning. Where are you staying? I found more South American wines there and tried an Argentine wine for under $10 that i liked very much... I looked for it here in California, can't find it. Oh well.
