ALTOS De CHAVON

I will be on the Grand Princess and interested in going to Altos De Chavon. I prefer not to book thru the cruiseline. How far is it from the cruise port & estimated cost for a taxi?

 

I am also interested in finding a private taxi driver or tour operator to go to other places of interest. Will taxi's be @ pier? ... any private tour info would be appreciated from locals or prior passengers who did not book thru their cruiseline. Thanks

I was there in February. The local area/resort provided shuttle buses to get to Altos de Chavon. They were $7pp round trip and could be purchased right near the port. You can't miss it. I'm sure there are taxis you can hire as well, but I don't know what else there is to see.
