scubaran Posted December 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2008 which is better for snorkelling? :) I'd choose Eden Rock, it's on the "iron shore" of the island, can be snorkeled from shore, close to town, lots to see. Fisherman's Rock is a reef in the middle of sand out by the stingrays in the bay, need a boat to get there, takes a lot more time, limited fish and area to snorkel (plus the waves can get up there). mom2NnB Posted December 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2008 Edens rock is amazing, you can walk to it from the port. You step into the water and the fish are right there. I did this last year and we saw 4 foot taupins right at my finger tips. DS thought it was a shark and yelled this out loud. We couldn't stop laughing. the_dylaness Posted December 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2008 I dove at Eden Rock and my mom snorkeled there... the diving was fun, very relaxed, and she seemed to enjoy the snorkeling quite a bit, but I can't compare to the other site you mentioned! cmdchiefthom Posted December 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2008 Eden Rock is the ticket for a great snorkeling experience, or SCUBA as well. Close to the dock, lockers available for rent, and great service. A no hassle experience!;)
