mochuck Posted December 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2008 A new free bus service was launched today in Sydney according to this article It will only be in the main part of the city but it beats walking and its FREE. It will be good for tourists. It should be much like the free tram in Melbourne which is great for tourists.

mochuck Posted December 3, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted December 3, 2008 It will go from Circular Quay to Central Station and back via Elizabeth St and George St. I will try and find a route map to post.
Bob&Janet Posted December 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2008 The free bus service (route 555) will do a continuous loop between Central Station and Circular Quay along George and Elizabeth Streets in both directions. The service will operate approximately every 10 minutes from 9.30am until 3.30pm Monday to Friday (until 9pm on Thursdays) and from 9.30am until 6pm on Saturday, Sunday & public holidays (excluding Christmas Day). kald Posted December 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Wow! This really is quite an awesome thing. I was in the city yesterday and wish I had known about it... it would have saved a lot of walking. We'll definitely be using this on Sunday/Monday. Thanks for posting!
