Victorian Posted November 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2004 We are going on a shore excursion in Cozumel where we will be snorkelling. I am reluctant to bring my passport, room key, and wallet unless there is some way to secure them on the tour boat while we are in the water. What is the experience of others when it comes to such matters? It is the Celebrity tour called "Catch the Wave Snorkel Safari".
kathy7558 Posted November 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2004 Last time we were in Coz, we did the Discover Scuba on our own with Eagle Ray. We just had those items you mentioned in our "beach bag" with our towels and change of clothes. We simply left them on the boat while we were in the water and had no problems. One of the staff was on the boat and one was in the water with us. Alternately, buy a "beach safe" - you can find one here online in the Cruise Critic store - or in any store selling snorkeling and scuba equipment. It's a waterproof case that will hold credit cards, money, keys, etc. that you wear around your neck while in the water.
