New to HAL

All those cruise lines cater to specific markets and all do a good job with those markets.

Of the ones you mentioned, Celebrity is prbably the closest to HAL. It is really a matter of personal preference. If you keep an open mind and a positive attitude, you will be happy with HAL as you would with the others you mentioned.

IMHO HAL has bigger cabins and bigger bathrooms than the other lines you mentioned. The food is comparible with Celebrity and probably better than RCCL (we haven't sailed on NCL). Generally the HAL ships have more average space per passenger on most of their ships (less passengers for the size of the ships). We also like the slightly smaller ships that HAL has as opposed to the mega ships that are being launched now.

HAL and Princess are probably are two favorite lines with RCCL coming in next.

If you like an elegant cruise experience with good service and nice fellow passengers, I think you will enjoy HAL.

Have a great next cruise.

Celebrity and HAL are both marketed as premium cruise lines. They are very similar overall. Food is close. HAL may have larger cabins on generally smaller ships. Clientele on HAL probably averages 10 years older. Comes down to personal preference and itinerary.
