Carnival Victory --8G cabins

Anyone have any pictures of this cabin?

Carnival is offering a free upgrade to these cabins--but I can't find any pictures---they are the ones at the very back of the ship looking back--and they have a square balcony rather then a long balcony.

Anyone with pics??

If you go to Carnivals website you can see the categories on the decks and an 8G shows the extended balconies in the middle of the 9A's which are the corner balconies that are shaped different. If you go to see ships and look at the Victory and look at the deck it will tell you. The 9A category never shows pictures. Hope this helps

Carnival found a way to charge extra for these cabins since they are most highly sought after. Up til recently they used to be the same category as the rest of the deck.

the cabins are exactly the same as the side ones-- the balconies are bigger then a side one.

Its a longer walk to the elevators/pools but the halls are quieter back here as people on a ship do not venture where they dont have to.

Aft cabins can get vibration/shuddering. (some do - some dont depends on the weather and waters.)

Aft balconies do not get ocean breezes lika side cabin. It can get warm back here--keep the curtians closed to the cabin to keep it cool.

If you are searching for categor 8G cabins photo you wont find them= these cabins were just reconfigured not too long ago. cabins look the same as what you have on the side

best deck is the empress deck- avoid cabins in the middle on each deck-- these cabins tend to be a bit more narrower then the rest and do not have sofas

Thanks for the photo--I did look at the deck plans on Carnival but it is hard to figure without an actaul picture. We did already book into one of those 'L' shaped cabins with the extended deck so that is why it didn't seem like an upgrade to get the G cabins.

personally I did not like the L shaped cabin. Although configured to be more sq feet in the cabin there is a lot of space that is not usable.

the balcony may be long but its narrow. More space on the direct aft.

compare this balcony with the one from above
