Best Hotel In Seattle For Train To Vancouver

I finally decided that we will take the train from Seattle to Vancouver. We will be flying into Seattle the day before the cruise. Because of the early morning departure, I'll need a convenient hotel that isn't to far from the train station. It doesn't have to be fancy, just clean, since I'll only be using it to sleep. Any suggestions? If I try Priceline, what is the location that I need to use?

The hotels that are near the train station are:

The Pioneer Square Best Western

The Silver Cloud (across from Safeco Field)

The Alexis Hotel

There isn't a hotel right next to the station so you probably would need to catch a taxi. I would check some of the travel sites to see hotel reviews.

Another option to maybe save a little $$ is stay at the airport and get up early the day you catch the train and get a taxi to the station.

This is what we did when we took our cruise to Alaska this past August. About six months before we left I booked the Sheraton Seattle on Priceline. I wanted a downtown location. I booked a 4* because I was not sure what I would get with fewer star hotels. I am not to picky and would be just as happy staying at a Comfort Inn. I paid $129 per night which is a great price for the summer time in Seattle. It was a quick taxi ride to the train station from the Sheraton. It only took about 10 minutes and they had taxis waiting right outside the hotel. We actually got to the train station just before 6 AM because we wanted to make sure we got on the left side of the train. It was very scenic. I also bought my train tickets ahead of time. I would definetly make sure to take the train instead of the bus. You don't have to book Priceline that far in advance but I was excited with the planning. Just remember, you can't get your money back on Priceline if you don't use the hotel. Oh by the way, one other thing we did that was fun was to take the ferry to bainbridge. We ate at a really great restaraunt. It was on the water but can't remember the name. For some reason Paramount seems familiar. I am sure somebody on here can help me out. Hope you have a great time.:)
