My family is booked next week on the Indy, we are staying 2 nights at the Lago Mar beforehand and using Native Choice in Costa Maya as well so it was really like getting an advanced view of our vacation! Where did you eat dinner when you were at Lago Mar, did you eat at the hotel or did you go out? You rock as an uncle and brother!

You will love Ivan and his brother Dave!

We ate right at the pool bar/tables for lunch. Good sandwiches,lobster salads etc. For breakfast I ate in the dining room buffet....Unless you have a car or take a taxi there isn't much around....there are take out/delivery menus at the concierge desk....you'll love lago Mar...how funny we have the same tastes! Have a great trip

Thanks, and I appreciate your helpful hints. We are renting cars so I think we'll pick up stuff for breakfast and eat by the pool for the other meals, we have to practice getting into the laid-back lifestyle! Since we do seem to have similar travel tastes I am going to assume we'll be as happy with our vacation as you were with yours!

Great review and it was what we experienced on the Indy during Thanksgiving week. The only difference was that our lobster night was Thanksgiving so they had a different menu with turkey instead of lobster. :eek:

 

The Indy is a great ship and we are already booked for New Year's Eve 2009. :D

Oh I am so jealous. We are missing her. This morning I woke up and wanted to head up to windjammer for something tasty...but instead I have to fly home to Montana...I'm already looking at dates for next year.

great, just freaking great, thanks cruiseray for an exceptional review of the Indy...it only magnifies our excitement & anticipation about 100X, your cruise vacation sounds just too good to be true...and now we're kicking ourselves...for not planning a B2B on the Indy; maybe next year - anyway, cheers to you...you may only have been on 3 cruises so far, but you certainly have the best most appreciated cruising attitude; easy to see why you had a perfect vacation on the Indy.

While I'm not quite as enamored with this cruise as the OP's, it was a good cruise. A beer, including gratuity was $5.69, not $4.50. Trust me, I have plenty of receipts showing this cost!!

yep...checked my receipts and you are correct..my heineken was indeed $5.84
..oh well....i was havin so much fun I didnt notice the the dolar and change diffenence...but it was a good heinekin believe me..

and a white russian at applebee's near times square was $16.95 (not including gratuity) a few weeks back...so your point is?? and i have the receipt also
