Is the room service menu the standard sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner or bagals and muffins for breakfast? just curious if there is a better selection on HAL

Smoked Atlantic Salmon - pickled red onion, capers & cream cheese

 

Mesclun Garden Greens - tomato, cucumber, alfalfa sprouts & blue cheese crumbles

 

Triple Decker Club Sandwich - sliced turkey, ham, bacon, tomato & lettuce served on toasted bread of your choice

 

All American Hamburger - broiled 1/4 pound beef patty on a sesame bun with dill pickle & coleslaw - add cheddar or Swiss cheese

 

Open faced Omelet - ham & cheese or vegetables

 

Selection of assorted cheese with crackers

 

Apple tart with whipped cream

 

Chocolate cake with raspberry sauce

 

A plate of chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk

 

Fruit salad - selected fruits in season

The room service menu is absolutely wonderful! For breakfast you have hot and cold dishes: cereals, yoghurt, bagels, toast, cheese, cold cuts, omelets, eggs, bacon, ham etc etc. I'm sure someone here has that menu avail for you. It's really great!

 

For dinner you can order directly from the dining room menu. So you can have anything that is served in the dining room! You just have to place your order within the first 30mins of the dining room dinner service (but you can ask for the dinner to be delivered later, for example at 8:00PM). Some say that you can also order later...however I'm not sure about this.

Ands if you can't see it on the menu you can always write it down. You usually will get it if they just have it in the Lido/Dining room. For example I usually asked for an omelet with ham. cheese, green peppers and mushrooms. Once I didn't get it but every other time I did.

Concerning the Breakfast menu -- you can write special items down -- like eggs benedict -- BUT -- you must make certain that the time you select must be during the times the dining room is open so that the kitchen can prepare the special orders.

Yup, HAL does room service right! Other lines could learn a big lesson from them!
