Carnival Air price drop? ever happen?

Air prices are dropping and our flight through Carnival Air is alot more than if we book ourselves. Problem is TA says we will take a $100 per person loss if we cancel Carnival Air becuase we paid for a deviation. Has anyone ever heard of Carnival dropping their airfare prices?:confused:
