Laundry Bag on Serenade of the Seas

I am wondering if anyone who has recently sailed on the Serenade can tell me if they offered the laundry bag service for $15-$20. I don't know if this is offered on a 7 day, but it would help with the packing! If it is, what day and how long does it take to be returned??

Hi...we were offered this service this past March on the Serenade...it was about 1/2 way through our 7 night cruise...we didn't use it though

What would really help would be for them to return the same clothes you send out to be cleaned. We used this service on the Brilliance this spring and it was a disaster. Lost clothes, received other peoples clothes. One time we send the clothes out and they didn't even wash them (but still billed us).

 

Hopefully this was an isolated incident. We are leaving on a 46 night cruise in 10 days and could really use a reliable laundry service.

If that service isn't available or not convenient for you, why not take things into your own hands and approach a lower member of the crew. Find a cleaner somewhere onboard the ship and ask them if they want to make some extra money by doing your laundry for you. The crew have their own laundromat and could easily throw in a load or 2 for you and have it back the next day. I'm sure you will find someone willing to do it for you.

In October on the Serenade we used it twice on a 15 day cruise and it worked wonderfully. All items cleaned and back in a timely fashion. We were able to put a lot of items in the bag, but it was limited to underware, socks, t-shirts, tanks and shorts if I remember correctly. Jeans and dress shirts were not part of the deal if I remember correctly. It made it a lot easier to pack.
