Did anyone bring gifts for the host family on the Mayan Experience Tour?

We will be going with Native Choice on the Mayan Experience Tour. We want to bring gifts for our host family and are just wondering how much aprox. is appropriate. Also, what did you tip your guides for this tour?

Just in case anyone else is interested - I just received a response from The Native Choice regarding the Mayan Experience. She said cash tips are always appreciated. She said they would be pleasantly surprised with anything for their home and especially lotions and creams as they are expensive and a luxury for them.
