kristicruise Posted December 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Hi, I just got back from the Celebrity Sydney - Auckland cruise. We booked private tours for almost all the ports. Tasmania -Heather from Let Us Show You Tasmania http://www.showyoutasmania.com.au/ - great tour, knew the rangers at the animal park and they let us pet the Koala, Wambat and other animals. Dunedin - Arthurs Tours -http://www.visit-dunedin.co.nz/arthurs_tours.html -Arthur was fabulous. Our ship was delayed 2 hours due to fog. He called ahead to all of our stops and accommodated all of the delays. We did not miss a thing. We had personal guides for our small group at Larnach Castle, Otago House, Dunedin train station and Speights Brewery. Wellington - Wellington Rover Tours - Jason http://www.wellingtonrover.co.nz/- Good tour, very reasonably priced. Jason was very accommodating. Tauranga - Mount Classics- http://www.mctours.co.nz/ tour 5, Our guide took our group of 11 personally through the hot springs area, the Te Puia, the Maori performance, Kiwi 360. Ian also made arrangements for our Auckland airport transfer and entire day tour. Auckland - Mount Classics - John Richmond.- This was an all day tour with a drop off at the airport. John was amazing. He picked us up in a minivan with trailer (luggage issues). We dropped off the trailer then hit the road. We saw Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium, One Tree Hill, Cornwall Park, Mt. Eden, 5 wineries, volcanic beaches and beautiful neighborhoods. The day could not have been better.
Ontario Cruiser Posted December 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Thanks for the information. Did you book these tours ahead of time or were they available when you docked? Happy New Year Ontario Cruiser
kristicruise Posted December 30, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted December 30, 2008 I booked all of them online. They are such great operators they might be booked up. With the exception of the Mount Classic tours, only small groups.

Granny DI Posted January 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2009 We used Golfer's Dream (www.golfersdream.co.nz) for our tours. They can book anything you like to do.
Budget Queen Posted January 31, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Always book tours in advance. Don't waste time at the dock trying to arrange stuff. For information, you can easily get to Kelly Tarleton's. either by the free shuttle from the Skytower, 10 min walk, or city bus for $3.20nz. I was just there last week and ended up costing about $32US for 2.
