Wine on deck

We will be taking our own wine onboard for consumption in our cabin on Diamond Princess. However, on occasions such as sailaway, or a late night read in the writing room or one of the public rooms, it would be nice to have a glass of wine. Would there be an issue with us taking our wine filled glasses from our cabin to the deck or the writing room (or similar venue with comfortable chairs)?

Thank you very much.

We have done this numerous times without a problem. Sometimes it is nice to have a certain wine for sailaway or other occasions. When we get on, we always ask our cabin steward to keep 4 wine glasses in the cabin during the cruise. We use them, and the steward always put 4 in the room even if we left the glasses some place else.

I've never took notice but if you order a glass of wine by the pool do they serve it in plastic cups?

Pretty much. They don't want to have glassware in general near the pool areas where everyone (particularly kids) is running about in bare feet.
