Best way to affix something to outside of cabin door ?

There are 4 of us doing a "Birthday" cruise on Jan.8th and I have a few things I want to "hang" on our friends' cabin door - what is the best way to hang things from there? Thumbtacks? Scotch Tape?

I use Scotch double sided tape......works great and it is easily removed.

Or even just scotch tape doubled over.

 

 

Stayed on the entire cruise. No problem and it was thick (1/4"). Had lots of comments!!!!

 

Good luck. I would not recommend using thumbtacks. I don't remember if the doors are wooden or not. I would suggest the scotch tape, cheap and works like a charm!!!

Doors on the Pride and the Spirit are not metal. I took magnetic hooks with clips and they didn't work. Had to use scotch tape. It worked fine. Stayed up all week.

I got some yellow HandiTAK in the office supply section at Walmart. It comes in sticks, 4 sticks to a pack. It has the consistency of chewing gum. It works great and doesn't leave a mess!

I used yellow freezer tape for mine. It's easy to tear from the roll and does'nt leave any marks of any kind.

Go to somewhere like Office Depot or Office Max and find some "magnetic" paper sheets. Make something on your computer and print on those sheets and cut it out. We did that our last cruise as the doors are metal and the magnetic paper stuck!

I used the clear tape I got to do our luggage tags with it was about 2 inches wide. I got the things at JoAnn' Fabrics. They were all ready painted and were about .50 each I think the ship was .99

I don't know about other ships but, the doors on the Conquest require tape. Happy cruising! :)

cabin doors on the miracle are metal. I put my eagles car magnet on the door when the eagles were in the playoffs in 95
