The CD on the Imagination is Josh Waitzman AKA Big Sexy. He was the ACD on the Freedom but left a few weeks ago to get promotion to CD. He's a great guy and fully desrves the promotion.

This guy was the biggest bully in the 1993 class at Niles North High School and made the lives of several people a living hell. He enjoyed throwing his bigness at and otherwise tormenting me in gym class everyday. Just sayin.

While a CD doesn't "make or break" your cruise, I have personally found that a good CD can add quite a bit to your cruise experience. I just got off the Splendor and was entirely unimpressed with our CD Brad. Maybe CCL doesn't utilize them as much as NCL does, but I never saw him walking around the ship and engaging with passengers as the CD's do on NCL. I was also surprised that he wasn't around on our last day to make announcements or send us off the ship like NCL CDs do. It's a nice touch when they say good bye and thank you for choosing their cruise line. Just a question of personal taste, I guess.

Wee Jimmy was our CD on the Glory a couple of years ago....:) It looks like he just started on the Victory March 1st, so chances are he'll still be there for your June 28th cruise.(hey I'm leaving June 28th too!!)

Just off the Miracle (3/27-4/6) and Malcolm Burn was our cruise director. I was not really impressed by him, however after having Todd Wittmer on 3 of my cruises you just can't compare. Todd IMO is funny, engaging, always around, and just plain entertaining. I'm sure other CD's are just as entertaining, however I am a big fan of Todd.

Me, too!

Malcolm had to be hospitalized for a surgery.

He is fine but is having to do some rehab at home.

I just talked with him the other day and he can't wait to get back to the sea (and the stage).

Hopefully it will be soon!!

Woo hoo for us!

We had Wee Jimmy last year on the Conquest -- he's pretty darn funny.

I am glad you liked him. I saw him in person 1 time on our 7 day cruise. he was not around when i needed to talk to him about something. i was told to leave him a note or talk to his assistant. i did not even see him on formal night except when he went on stage and almost fell down cause he tripped. i saw him plenty on the tv on repeats of things, but as for being funny, i have seen funnier.

He just did not impress me at all. A cruise director is suppose to be out where peopel can see them, he did not even go down to the door on disembarkment day. All others we had were down there telling people good bye, etc.

Does it really matter who the cruise director is on your trip? I couldnt tell who mine was ever, and whoever it is makes no difference in how much I enjoy the cruise.

I used to think the same way as you, who cares about the cruise director? Until our Liberty cruise last July...Karl with a K was our cruise director. He was amazing! He was interactive and had an animated personality yet was very professional. Loved his announcements. And the accent...

We went to an afternoon Question and Answer session with Karl with a K. He answered all kinds of questions. There were only about 30 people there, but he made eye contact with everyone the entire time.

Don't know if we'll ever have another cruise director who was so personable. Makes a big difference to us now.

Skip Lyons from Australia is the current CD on Inspiration. We have found that the previous CDs we have had have been obnoxious at times. Skip seemed to be well balanced, not overbearing, good humor (a few times off-color, but limited).

Of the 4 CDs we have been with, I think I enjoyed Skip the most. He has been with CCL since 1996 he told us at the Q&A session on Sunday, May 31. He started out in the casino and told he was too loud for that area -- but he was not overly loud as a CD. He said he requested to be on the Inspiration -- he was around much of the time.

Ship happens.

The list is here:

but they don't continuously update. It only goes through April. Maybe time to nudge them into posting a later list.

Imagination in February looks like Kevin Noonan.

A number of cruise directors do Morning Shows. John Heald certainly does.

You can find bios for a number of CDs, but not all, here:

.....as this list ended in April.

Is Wee Jimmy very good in your opinion?

The CD doesn't really affect our cruise one way or the other, but I'll tell you one thing -- he's pretty darn funny. My DH and I would see the skits he did in the mornings on the TV -- they were funny. I liked him :)

No updated list yet.

It has been done through the end of the year but not finalized.

The executive who gives the final "blessing" had a life threaten health issue and just returned to work full time on Monday. We are happy to report that he is doing well now.
