my 20-yr old is bipolar and we like to keep close tabs on him on the ship. does anyone know if i can reserve a dect phone?i just found out about these. this would give him a bit more freedom.

I don't know what a dect phone is. Is it a type of walkie-talkie?

Depends on the crusie line and the ship class. Some will rent them out for the week, and some don't. Ask your travel agent or call the cruise line. Alternatively you may just want to take some walkie talkies with you.
