happy cruzin Posted January 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2009 You CAN take wine with you. No need to "smuggle" - just walk right on with it.
cascole Posted January 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I've never seen a wine package offered on Carnival, including my Nov cruise on Spirit. (Am I missing something I should be looking for?)
happy cruzin Posted January 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2009 FYI...from Carnival FAQ's.... Can I Bring Liquor On Board?A liquor and beverage consumption policy was created in order for Carnival to be able to control the liquor consumption of minors and the quantities consumed that lead to the disruptive behavior of others on board. Liquor and Beverage Policy Bringing Alcohol On Board - Embarkation Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages onboard. However, guests 21 years of age and older only may bring one bottle (750ml) of wine or champagne, per person, on board only during embarkation at the beginning of the cruise. A $10 corkage fee per bottle will be charged should you wish to consume this wine in the main dining room; $14 corkage fee per bottle in the Supper Club. Guests may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages. All prohibited alcohol, additional quantities of wine/champagne or excessive quantities of non-alcoholic beverages will be confiscated and discarded without compensation. Yes, but only 1 bottle per adult, not much for a 7 day cruise! There were a couple other threads here about a new 'wine package' that they are testing on some ships, someone had it on the Paradise last week - discount of $5-7/bottle if you buy one of their packages for ~$100 or $150 depending on the quality of the wine you want.
