CruisinEurope Posted January 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Hello travel Gurus!!! We have a group of 5 that will be spending 2 nights in London in July. We're coming in via the Chunnel, and will be leaving out of Gatwick. I've stumbled upon these "hotels" and would LOVE your opinion: Royal Court Apartments near Hyde Park vs. Harrington Court Apartments near Kensington Thoughts??? The price difference is 160GBP (Harrington being more expensive) THANKS!

The price difference is 160GBP (Harrington being more expensive) THANKS! The main/only attraction of the Royal Court Apartments at Paddington is price. At the moment you can get a studio apartment there for 60 GBP which says much. The Royal Court Apartments had a really dire patch a couple of years ago when they got lots of negative feedback, but things have evidently improved. If you're arriving at St Pancras and leaving from Gatwick it makes sense to stay in the Kings Cross/St Pancras area, as there are direct trains from St Pancras to Gatwick. There are not many apartments in this area though if this is a prerequisite. You might want to also check out Dolphin House at Pimlico/Victoria which normally has reasonably priced studios and apartments and is handy for the train links to Gatwick from Victoria. Astons Apartments and Base 2 Stay in Kensington are two studio/apartment options that get consistently good feedback.
