Hi, I can't review the Embassy Suites themselves, but we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott a few weeks ago which is right across the street so I can tell you that you have a great location. It is in a safe area and about a 15 minute easy walk to the French Quarter. It is also only about 2 blocks from the Riverfront Mall and Riverfront streetcar (which takes you to the French Quarter). We also had no problems walking to catch the Canal Street or St. Charles Ave streetcars, though they were a bit further walk. We also walked to the port, which took about 5-10 minutes.

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites, one weekend when we were playing tourist in our hometown. It is very nice and as the previous poster stated, very nice location! Good Choice
