Is it going to be a coffemaker in balcony room? on NCL.

Or can I ask room attendant to get one for me?

I am a huge green tea drinker and can not imagine my day start without fresh green tea.

I've never asked, but I would think that room service would be glad to bring you a carafe of piping hot water every morning.

You are generally never going to be given anything with a heating element in your cabin because fire is the greatest fear of the cruiseline. As was noted earlier, you can probably either have hot water delivered or head to the buffet area for hot water to bring back to your cabin.

No coffee makers. Use room service. If you wnt a certain time everyday, let your room steward know. Should be able to do it for you. Just remember to tip.

So is brining your own coffee pot frowned upon? Because of the heating element thing? I've read a lot of posts from people who bring their own coffee maker...but is that a no no?

I don't know that there is a rule against it, but given the availability of hot water and coffee, you would have weigh its worth against having to carry it on.

We were told at a muster drill that as long as it has a thermostat control, and automatic shutoff that they can be used.

Just bring your tea with you and request hot water from room service. You can set the delivery time up in advance. A tip a day for the service is no big deal. Bringing a coffee pot on a cruise is like bringing your own towels in my opinion. :rolleyes: Have a great cruise there.
