Precruise Hotel in Miami for In-Laws

My In-Laws are taking a cruise in Feb out of Miami and need a hotel for 2/19 in Miami. They are looking for a cheap hotel(<$100) with something to do that evening close by(shop, beach, site see). I somehow got the respondsibility of finding this for them. I would also like the hotel to have easy assess to the airport and port, and be in a safe area. I have seen several recommendations for the Intercontinental, but this hotel is way above their price ceiling. Everything else I seem to find in their price range has very bad reviews.

 

Any help would great.

You are not going to find what you need (walking distance to beach, shopping, and dining) in your price range any time of year in Miami. What you'll get for under $100 in February is a bad hotel in a crime ridden area.

 

If they can at least up their budget to $125 they can get something very nice on Hotwire.

 

I suggest Coral Gables or Coconut Grove.

It is a nice hotel in a good location not far from the beach. I'd definitely go for it!
