Romance Package Alternate Resturant?

It might depend on the Ship (or the mood of the Maitre d') but we weren't allowed to make that switch on the Jewel last September.

That sounds right based on feedback from many others here. Officially I think not. But they sometimes allow it. Nice thing about LeBistro is that it is much more intimate than Cagneys and therefore quiet.

we were able to make the change on the Dawn. had to pay the $5 pp

This is good to know. We haven't ordered the Romance Package because of the requirement to have the dinner be at Le Bistro. Having a good steak choice doesn't make up for the fact that virtually none of the rest of the menu appeals to us. Besides that, we never eat at French restaurants because my DH is allergic to the enzymes in alcohol. Yep, the enzymes, which do not "cook off" with the alcohol itself. (As an FYI, about 3% of alcohol never cooks off because it binds with the other liquids in a dish; he's not allergic to the alcohol itself, so that wouldn't be a problem.) It's a rare allergy that's shared by only about 3% of the population. A fair percentage of people are never properly diagnosed. It's not something that can be "cured" with an epipen because it causes inflamation in the intestines much like when celiac sufferers eat something containing gluten. We've had too many times of being told that there is no alcohol in a dish only to find out that the chef or servers haven't remembered the "splash of white wine" or whatever.

James, do you think that if we explained the situation that we could get an exception like tjaker11? It would be really nice for me to have the bubbly and wine (or wine and wine if they allow a substitution of still wine for the bubbly) and the other goodies would be lovely. It's such a good deal.
