Single person getting to Port Canaveral

Would renting a car be the cheapest means of transportation for a single person getting to Port Canaveral area?

 

Unless I can coordinate flight times with 2 other people flying from different city, I will have to make my way on my own to the coast.

 

Do any hotels in Port Canaveral area have shuttles to/from airport if you are staying with them?

 

Ok, anyone going to fly into MCO Friday, Apr 3rd and want to share a ride :D

When I cruised solo from Pt. Canaveral, I found that it easier and cheaper to just take the cruise line's shuttle service from the airport. The hotel where I stayed in Orlando offered a free shuttle to the airport. The shuttles leave outside the baggage claim area. There will be cruise reps there to direct you.

Renting a car is cheap, the drive is easy and you can go right away. That is what I do. 2 one way rentals.
