Beach from Sheraton Old San Juan?

We are staying at the Sheraton Old San Juan for 3 nights post-cruise in August. I know this hotel does not have beach access but we would like to spend some time at a beach. Can anyone tell me how far away is the nearest/nicest beach? Thanks!

 

Also, if anyone has any info they'd like to share about the Sheraton or the immediate area I'd love to hear it. :) Thanks!

Beaches, in order of nearest to furthest, are ...

 

The closest beach to the Sheraton is Escambron balneario.

 

Next, you'd have the public beaches in the Condado, Ocean Park and Isla Verde (in that order) in front of the hotels and condos.

 

Then you'd have the Carolina balneario.

Nope. None of them are walking distance.
