Hi

I dont know why we call them a Dinner Jacket as it is actually a Dinner Suit.

They are usually Black although some wear White and they are usually made in a slightly different material.

The Black ones have a stripe down the side of the trousers and the suit is nearly always worn with a Bow Tie.

More popular over here in Europe than in USA so our party will be more noticable next week on Miracle when we all wear our DJ's on the two formal nights.

AH People pictures! I enjoyed the original cabin ones as well, looking forward to a wraparound myself in the Spring on the Legend.

Great shots! Funny, you can cut out faces and insert others for the traditionals.

Enjoyed them, and I'm happy you enjoyed your cruise!
What camera was you using
Those pictures actually came from a variety of cameras. I have a Kodak DC 4800, which is a relatively old digital camera. 99% of the pictures of the cabin and shots of/from the balcony were taken with it. Elsewhere on the ship, we used a Kodak Advantix APS camera. On shore, we used Kodak disposable cameras--the Kodak MAX HQ and the Kodak MAX Water & Sport. And some of the pictures were taken by Carnival and Dolphin Discovery with nice 35mm cameras.

ParrotHead, thanks for the great reviews and the great pictures. We did not take nearly as many pictures on our cruise (November 21-28). I agree with most of what you said in the review. Suite 8268 was great, as I knew it would be. We had to skip Costa Maya on Wednesday because the waves were too rough to dock.

We loved the cruise director, Mark Hawkins, the assistant cruise director Karl with a K, and the social hosts Candice and Alison.

I was not planning to dine in the supper club, but at the past guest party, our invitation was drawn, so we got a free dinner for two. They also took our picture with Mark, and sent it to our cabin the next day in a photo album.

We also won various drawings and trivia games (a free tour, two free drinks of the day, two free facials and 4 or 5 ships on a stick), I did well in the casino, and my daughter won $650 playing bingo. All in all a lucky cruise for my family, and best of all, we got to spend Thanksgiving together.
