We are celebrating our 10th anniversary on our cruise coming up and......thinking about getting the banner decorations for our room to surprise hubby. It's only $35 and I have a feeling he'll smile and nod (to make me feel good) but would maybe prefer something else.

So, I guess my question is-would you men think that was really sweet and appreciate the room full of hearts and whatnot or prefer something else?

Thanks guys for helping me out.

*I only ask the guys because I know girls (I am one) and we would all agree that it would be sweet...am I right;)

I would appreciate the thought and the sentiment but to me cabin decorations are a waste of money. They get in the way and would have to be disposed of at the end of the trip.

Fortunately I'm married to a woman who feels pretty much the same way. She'd rather I save up the money and apply it toward jewelry.

My hubby would like casino chips :)

My husband would like potato chips. :D

I never know what to get hubby for gifts...anything he wants/needs he just goes and gets himself before I ever know he needs/wants it.

The balcony club thing is probably a good call! LOL

Hi!

I know what men want! Do something "special" for him and then he will think that he must go on a cruise every year. And if it is difficult for him with "gymnastics", drop a little blue pill in his beer an hour ahead. Do not bother with interieurs. Spend the money on yourself instead! he only wants tenderness.

I am not a man, but I do have a guys mind. I dont think just your anniversary is an occasion to do "something else"... unless u only do it once a year and if thats the case i dont see how you are still married!!!!

my thoughts are a bottle of Crown Royale... nothing says happy anniversary better then that...naked...on a balcony...

just a girly girls opinion...

Once a year? Who do you think they are Santa and Mrs. Claus?

I didn't think this thread would take off like it did! All the responses are sooo funny!

I love the portable pole and the video-hahahahahahahahaha.....poor girl.

Not to toot my own horn-"toot, toot", but everything is good on the homefront with the "gifts" so just thinking for a little more.

I really like the wrapping something from Victoria's Secret for him to open-he'd really get a kick out of that. Martini mom-great ideas!!:D

These are so much fun to read!!!!

My husband will thank all of you!

All joking aside DW and I will be celebrate our 6th on the Spirit in March. So I am going to order the anniversary banner for her. The only thing I want ( and I suspect the same is true for your DH ) is to be on a cruise with the love of my life! Happy anniversary to you.

My wife knows me very well...I personally don't go for the frilly decorations and hearts everywhere but if that is what she wants I don't say no...know what I mean?

I think it's cool you wanting to surprise hubby...maybe surprise him with a little "gift" ;) :D rather than the decorations...;)

I know what you mean for my 50th birthday DW got our aft wrap suite decorated all kinds of stuff hanging from the ceiling. It made her happy to surprise me, so I was ok with it. But would have prefered something else. Do you think the cabin would support a sex swing?:p

That's the thing...you guys are being so sweet saying, "If it makes her happy"...honestly, that is really sweet. But I don't think the OP wants to feel happy/good for herself...she wants her husband to feel good.

OP...just do something wild and crazy and different. He'll never forget it. Decorations will be forgotten the minute you get off the ship.

Tip for the men IMHO-women love any little thing you do for them and believe me it will come back to you ten fold!! Banner=wooohooo or whatever you say;)

God this thread has gotten good with since I left *LOL*

Nice work folks :)

Hmmmmm never did the Saran Wrap thing myself , but it reminds me of an old Joan Rivers joke.

She said she had read in a magazine to drive her husband wild ,she should get naked , wrap herself in Saran Wrap and be laying on the bed when her husband gets home.

So she does all this and when her husband got home ,he looked at her in Saran Wrap and said "Oh Hell , leftovers again " *LOL*

Skip the decorations and just "Shake what the good Lord gave ya!":D

and then tell him to "Drive it like he stole it!" ;)

Maybe get some beers and or a bottle of champagne, but decorations just dont do it for us.

Smoofdaddy, I was showing my wife this thread (in hopes of giving her some ideas :D) When she read your response I thought she was going to wet her pants laughing so hard. Shake got her giggling, but drive it like you stole it put her over the top! LOL

Hopefully that thought will stick! HAHAHA

ROFLMAO........" Leftovers again"........ LOL.:D

But seriously guys, how does one go about joining the "balcony club"?

No, I'm not talking about what has to happen to join......(Thanks , but I don't need any help in that dept. ) What I need to know is the logistics of it, as this will be our first balcony cabin.

We are "balcony virgins" so to speak...;) Any advice?

Oh, now I get it...is this why everyone loves the Aft cabins so much??

Mho, of course! I would love it if my wife would let me come back to the cabin totally s**t faced drunk, and not say a word! Now, there's love for you!;)

Oh what a thread. Very intriguing thoughts except I'm in the same room with 2 teenagers!

My wife is asking for something that goes from 0 to 150 in ten seconds for our anniversary. Maybe I'll give her the new bathroom scale on the cruise.:D
