;) We're trying Wind Spirit (after 2 Wind Surf cruises) on Feb. 14, after 2 days at a ST resort (thinking about Marriott Frenchmans Reef or Wyndham Sugar Bay).

Last December we stayed at the Marriott Frenchmans Reef for the third time. It is a nice place to stay however a trip to town is a haul unless you have a car as we did. We ate lunch at the outside cafe and the food and service was good. We enjoyed going to town and stay for dinner as the Marriott food was in my opinion not great and going to town was lots of fun.

As far as excursions, we just chilled on the beach. If you want a really nice beach you can go to Coki Beach. They offer food and bev at the beach as well as reasonable rates for scuba diving right at the beach. If you are an avid scuba diver I was certified 6 years ago in St John at a place called Low Key Watersports Nice friendly people and great dive masters who are really experienced and knowledgeable. You would take the ferry from Red Hook which is a short journey. The dive shop is to the right of the dock. Being that St John is the first stop you can call Low Key and book a dive with them direct which would be a lot cheaper that doing it through the cruise ship. That goes for any excursion that you would like to go on that you are able to do on your own.

This was our 6th Windstar Cruise and 2nd on the Wind Spirit- Was the best cruise of all 6 that we have been on with the exception of the Dive Program which has been eliminated from the Wind Star program. Wish we were going with you. ENJOY. Hope I have been helpful.
