recent passengers that were diverted to Nassau when they couldn't tender to the private island, did they offer any shore excursions in Nassau? if not what did you do on your own?

They had shore excursions. Some of our friends went to Paradise Island to see the Atlantis hotel and casino. There are plenty of shops in Bay Street right near the pier.

You c`an walk off the ship into town , find a limo driver and negotiate a price for an island tour. Usually about $ 30.00 PP for 4-6 , usually a good price for what you get. Don't pay too much , they are ready to bargain. then don't cheap out , tip well for a good tour

You can go to Atlantis on your own for $4 or $5 per person. Just go outside the pier.

 

Yoiu can go by bus for $1 each way to Cable Beach. Have doen it many times and is the biggest bargain of the cruise. Very safe, too, and you get to ride with the locals.
