golfpccc Posted January 18, 2009 #77 Share Posted January 18, 2009 I am thinking that the Conquest is going into dry dock this week. Just checked their roll calls and there is none for this week, but does show one for Feb 1st. She must start her 2 week dry dock this week. mrsshmthaus Posted January 19, 2009 #80 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Interesting that the Voyager is leaving first as we - yes we - came in after the Conquest this morning. And can you believe they made us get off after she docked???:p I am so sad. PCS is setting in already.
mrsshmthaus Posted January 19, 2009 #81 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Well - never mind that. I just went back and read about the dry dock for Conquest. Interesting!
Rancher Dave Posted January 19, 2009 #82 Share Posted January 19, 2009 dave whats the story behind the voyager horns The horns were aboard VOyager when she first arrived to Galveston as part of a marketing campaign. Longhorns are a animal tied to Texas. The horns are inflated using 3 blowers...they are 145' tip to tip and stand about 15-20' high in the center and at the tips upwards of 30' tall. The total package weighs about 800 lbs. By comparison one of my steers has a 6' spread tip to tip. He weighs between 1200-1500 lbs.
Rancher Dave Posted January 19, 2009 #83 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Voyager will get to be a camera hog next Sunday!:D Conquest is going into dry dock, and she won't be back for 2 weeks. I suppose that is the deal with the crane and why Conquest seems glued to the dock still...

Texas Teen Posted January 19, 2009 Author #85 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Is Carnival Conquest's upcoming drydock why she has not left Galveston yet? She sure is showing off a lot of lights!

And can you believe they made us get off after she docked???:p I am so sad. PCS is setting in already. I understand, it might be worse for us this time, not sure if there is going to be a 2010 cruise, our only daughter is going to get married. perhaps, we will make a long reservatio for 2011 later this year. Those 600 day countdowns are so much fun. Maybe I can start another 6000 post roll call.
Rare BillOh Posted January 19, 2009 #88 Share Posted January 19, 2009 How do I post photos on Posts? They have to be on a webpage somewhere else and then you press the picture button above your text entry and put in the webaddress. http://Mccallw.tripod.com/voyagerturn.jpg was the one I think I did in this thread. The forum software puts in the IMG brackets

Snoozeman Posted January 21, 2009 #94 Share Posted January 21, 2009 I have my review from 1.11.09 up on my blog. I would have been easier to spot on web cam as I had the aft cabin with the big 'O'.
