Voyager of the Seas + Galveston, Texas + Sunday = Time to watch the webcam!

Recommended Posts

dave whats the story behind the voyager horns

The horns were aboard VOyager when she first arrived to Galveston as part of a marketing campaign. Longhorns are a animal tied to Texas.

The horns are inflated using 3 blowers...they are 145' tip to tip and stand about 15-20' high in the center and at the tips upwards of 30' tall. The total package weighs about 800 lbs.

By comparison one of my steers has a 6' spread tip to tip. He weighs between 1200-1500 lbs.

Interesting that the Voyager is leaving first as we - yes we - came in after the Conquest this morning. And can you believe they made us get off after she docked???:p

I am so sad. PCS is setting in already.

I understand, it might be worse for us this time, not sure if there is going to be a 2010 cruise, our only daughter is going to get married. perhaps, we will make a long reservatio for 2011 later this year. Those 600 day countdowns are so much fun. Maybe I can start another 6000 post roll call.

I found this webcam that I would love for everyone to see! It is of the promanade and refreshes every 5 min. I will be leaving on Voyager Feb 1 2009!!!
